Getting sober in treatment is one thing, but staying sober once you leave is where a lot of the challenges come to many addicts. At 12 South Recovery, we understand that staying in touch with your recovery community is crucial in order to achieve long term sobriety. Another important key to long term sobriety is giving back and being of service.
Our Alumni Program encompasses some key aspects of staying sober by allowing our previous clients to come back to the program and run weekly panels. This gives our current clients hope that this process does work. If they see others who have been through the 12 South Recovery treatment program and are thriving, they will be encouraged that they can do it to! We also offer weekly recovery support meetings at our clinical office in order to keep the fellowship going.
Another fun part of the Alumni Program is the events! We organize parties, beach picnics and outings to get everyone together and have a good time. This keeps everyone excited about sobriety and having fun in recovery, meeting old friends and making new ones.
